Perimenopause Changed the Game
And the rules are rigged!
You want a body you can rely on
You want to feel strong, fit and capable.
You want to feel comfortable in your favourite clothes again.
You want to lose the weight you’ve gained through midlife and keep it off.
You want sustained energy to meet the demands of your day.
You want to sleep better, think more clearly and feel more resilient.
You want to enjoy dinner and drinks with friends without overdoing it.
You want to know your health is being looked after.
You’ve tried EVERYTHING the experts recommend
You've read the books.
Listened to the podcasts.
Followed the expert protocols.
For a while, it works. You're motivated, disciplined, all in.
But then, ‘life’ gets in the way.
Work gets busy. Sleep falls apart. A stressful week turns into wine most nights. You have a weekend blowout.
Now, you're right back where you started.
Again.
“I felt really confused with what to do. I kept losing and gaining the same 5 kilos over and over as I didn't know how to sustainably keep it off. I always felt like I was missing something.”
Chontelle.
You don’t need more willpower
And you don’t need more discipline, time, knowledge - and you DEFINITELY don’t need another 6-week Bootcamp!
My guess?
There’s a deeper pattern that’s draining your capacity
Perhaps you struggle to:
Tend to your own needs with the same love, care and consideration you so freely give to others.
Take charge of your time and energy without feeling selfish.
Set and hold healthy boundaries without caving when people push back.
Process uncomfortable emotions without numbing them with food or alcohol.
Stop trying to do ‘all the things’ the experts recommend - and recognise YOU’re the expert on YOU and what you can realistically sustain.
Align with your values so you can let go of what drains your precious time, energy and attention.
When you shift the pattern - you’ll have the space to consistently do what works for your body and mind now.
“I always thought that I knew what to do, and just needed more willpower. But since working with you, I’ve had a major shift - I actually know that this is going to work & be sustainable and I’m so excited.”

Introducing
Stop Starting Over
A 3-month, 1:1 coaching partnership that helps you build strength and vitality that stick - without making it a full-time job.
If you want to feel strong, fit and energised.
If you want to feel confident in your favourite clothes again.
If you want to feel more connected to yourself.
If you want to stop using food and/or alcohol to numb your emotions.
If you want to take charge of your time, energy and attention without feeling selfish.
It all starts with
Stop Starting Over
Because adding more to a life that’s already over-extended isn’t working.
Hey, I’m Sarah
At 48, perimenopause caught me off guard - I gained belly fat, even though my lifestyle hadn’t changed, I started waking up wired at 3am, my joints ached, my skin crawled, my hair started falling out and I had brain fog so severe that I forgot people's names mid-sentence!
I devoured the expert advice - I traded Yoga for lifting heavy, 45 minute runs for HIIT and significantly upped my protein.
But it was hard to maintain consistently - recovery was slow, I had a lot on my plate, and I was using wine to numb feelings of exhaustion and resentment from putting everyone else’s needs ahead of my own.
I felt like a failure and I was almost too tired to try again.
Except… I’m a bit of a geek, so when something doesn’t make sense to me, I feel compelled to figure it out.
So I went back to university to study the science for myself.
Strength and conditioning taught we what I needed to do, to feel strong, energised and confident in my clothes again, and psychology helped me face the deeper issues I’d been avoiding.
STEADY Progress is the Vibe
In a world obsessed with optimisation, we’ll use my STEADY process to help you move from repeatedly starting over to creating the capacity to sustain what matters.
S — Slow down
Stop reacting to the latest piece of advice and create space to understand what’s really going on.
T — Tune in
Reconnect with your values, needs, goals, desires and limits — and begin listening to your body, emotions and own wisdom again.
E — Expose the pattern
Identify what’s really getting in the way.
Not the symptom.
The thing underneath it.
A — Address the real barrier
This is where we do the deeper work.
Depending on what we discover, this might mean working on boundaries, assertiveness, emotional regulation, sleep, energy, self-trust, people pleasing, stress, your relationship with food or alcohol or something entirely different.
There’s no generic solution because your pattern is unique to you.
D — Design your baseline
Once you’ve created more capacity, we’ll establish your personal minimum baseline for health and wellbeing.
The small number of behaviours that genuinely support your goals - something you can maintain even when life gets difficult.
Y — Your next level
Once those foundations are integrated, you get to decide what comes next.
A more advanced strength programme.
Improved cardio fitness.
A deeper meditation practice.
A refined approach to nutrition.
Perhaps you simply want to maintain what you’ve built.
There’s no finish line you have to reach.
You’re learning how to make conscious decisions about your health and wellbeing for yourself.
“Working with Sarah has enabled me to focus on what matters most to achieve my weight loss and health goals. I went from overwhelmed to focused on what really works that was achievable.”
— Jenny
Your 3-month Journey
This isn’t another challenge where you’re expected to perform perfectly from day one.
It’s a gradual process of gaining insight, building capacity and creating something sustainable.
Month 1
Create Capacity
I’ll help you slow down, reconnect with yourself and identify the pattern that’s keeping you stuck.
I’ll help you understand how your behaviour’s been serving you up until this point.
This insight, combined with a big dose of self-compassion, helps you begin to let it go while you build new beliefs and skills that support the life and health you want now.
Month 2
Minimum Baseline
Once you’ve created more capacity, we’ll establish your minimum baseline.
I’ll help you identify the habits that are non-negotiables for you - and help you integrate them into your real life.
You’ll learn how to set effective goals, and use setbacks to gain insights for lasting change - rather than losing hope.
Month 3
Flourish
With your foundations in place, we start layering in what helps you flourish.
That might mean progressing your strength training.
Improving your fitness.
Refining your nutrition.
Deepening your meditation practice.
Advancing your recovery.
Or something else.
You get to decide.
“Sarah is always practical in her approach, ensuring that your goals each week are realistic and achievable while moving you steadily forward to what is a lifestyle change instead of a quick fix.”
Jenny

This isn’t just another health/fitness/weight loss programme
There’s a lot of health, fitness, nutrition, and weight loss advice for women in midlife.
And much of it’s useful.
But the problem isn’t always that you don’t know what to do.
Sometimes the problem is you’ve been trying to do too much of it.
You’ve outsourced your decisions to experts.
You’ve tried to follow someone else’s perfect protocol.
You’ve believed that if a woman with a PhD says this is what you need to do, you should probably do it.
So you add another habit.
Another workout.
Another supplement.
Another rule.
Another thing to track.
Until your health becomes a full-time job.
I’m not here to give you a better prescription.
I’m here to help you develop the capacity, confidence and self-leadership to decide what’s right for you.
That means we take an honest look at what needs to change.
And often that means letting some stuff go.
“Sarah has given me the greatest gift: to now feel in control of my body, my mind and my actions. This is far more than a weight loss program.”
— Chontelle
“We feel like we can do it ourselves.
And if we could, then we would've done it.”

Got Questions? I’ve Got Answers.
-
No.
Weight loss may be an important goal for you, particularly if you’ve experienced weight gain during perimenopause or midlife, but the coaching is about much more than the number on the scales.
We’ll work on what actually matters to you — physically, mentally and emotionally — and build the capacity to sustain it.
-
Yes, absolutely!
Many of my clients already strength train - whether that’s with a PT, as part of a group class they love, or alone - using a program they’ve found online.
I can help you optimise your program - ensuring the key variables: exercise choice, load, reps & sets, rest periods, soft tissue care and overall recovery are the best they can be for results, enjoyment and sustainability.
-
Me neither!!
It might surprise you to know that I eat chocolate most days, regularly eat out with my foodie boyfriend and I love a Margherita or glass or two of red wine once or twice a week.
The truth is, deprivation doesn’t work, and neither does willpower - not long-term at least.
I’ll support you to fuel your body according to your goals - while also making space for discretionary eating.
That way, you can enjoy a healthy social life without overdoing it.
-
Coaching sessions are 50 minutes each and I’m available at the following times (NZST):
Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 7pm - 10pm
Thursdays 4pm - 6pm
Fridays: 8am - 9am; 1pm - 2pm; 4pm - 6pm
-
Due to the personalised nature of 1:1 coaching, and the need for you to fully invest in the process for this to work, I don’t offer refunds, and all sales are final.
Instead, if your application to work together is approved, I offer you the option to book a free Clarity Call where you can get a clear understanding of how I would work with you personally (based on your responses on the application form) and have all your questions answered.
This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 if the services fail to meet a statutory guarantee.
-
You may decide you’ve achieved what you came for and continue independently.
Or you may want continued support in one or two areas - such as strength training, meditation, nutrition or assertive communication.
We’ll decide what that might look like together.
