Hey, I'm Sarah

I’m the coach who’ll help you transform from hustle to high impact!

The one who’ll help you give up those unrealistic to-do lists and embrace focus, flow and follow-through. 

It’s all down to a combination of 12 years in corporate marketing, learnings from a failed Yoga business and a solid understanding of how your brain 🧠 works. 

No-one who wants to create a better world for others should have to burn themselves out in the process.

When I started my Yoga business back in 2019 I thought I’d found a way to balance being a mum with having a flexible, purpose-driven business that’d have a real impact on people’s lives. 

With 12 years experience in corporate marketing combined with several Yoga certifications, I felt confident I had what it took to attract the right clients and deliver a quality service. 

But – away from the structure of corporate life…

I fell prey to doing all the things. 

Networking, collaborating, blogging, email marketing, SEO, social media, in-person classes, online classes…

It was overwhelming & frustrating but I felt like I had no choice – if I wanted to be successful. 

I blamed time, struggled to build a sustainable business and very quickly burnt out! 

Fortunately, I bounced back and took the learnings with me. 

In 2022 I became a certified coach and returned to University to study Psychology.

As I learned about the human brain, the impact of stress on our performance, memory and learning, neural plasticity, and what we need to thrive – things began to ‘click’. 

If I wanted to have an impact on others AND enjoy quality downtime,  I needed to:

About Sarah Wood

I help small business owners who feel like their business is running THEM, take back control of their time, energy and attention so they can:

– accomplish the most important tasks in their business within the hours they want to be working

– relax and truly switch off at the end of the day without feeling pressured by their to-do list

– and feel healthier, have more energy and feel more engaged in their business and lives.

  • I’m single mum to Gracie – a fire cracker who teaches me a LOT about boundaries, assertiveness and patience 😤. 

  • I’m a coffee ☕️ addict – but I’ve learned to keep it to the mornings so I can still get those important 💤

  • I have a rescue cat called Chamonix  who keeps me company while I work and study  🐈‍⬛ 

  • I’m a fitness fanatic – I love running, strength training and Yoga

  • I’m a life-long learner – back at University for the 3rd time!

Credentials

I did a comprehensive, evidence-based coach training with, Wellcoaches Australia –  Wellcoaches literally wrote the text book on Coaching Psychology. While focused primarily on health and wellbeing coaching, the tools I learned in my Wellcoaches training can be applied to any coaching situation. I learned evidence-based techniques to help you  shift not only your mindset, but also your behaviour. Because – as the old saying goes – if nothing changes, nothing changes. 

I’m more than 3/4 of the way through a Bachelor of Science, Majoring in Psychology, University of Canterbury  – my interests include: the science and practice of wellbeing, positive psychology, cognitive psychology, health psychology, personality psychology, social psychology, industrial and organisational psychology, and neuroscience.
