Hi, I’m Sarah

Certified Health and Wellbeing Coach with a university education in strength & conditioning, sports nutrition and psychology. 

I believe perimenopause and beyond can be a fun and exciting time - where you get to be unapologetic about who you are and what you stand for.

AND rock a pair of skinny jeans or a body con dress -  IF that’s what you’re into! 

I also know your body’s changing and the same strategies that used to help you manage your weight in the past, just don’t seem to work as well.

I’m living proof - I’m 52, still very much in perimenopause and I’m the fittest, leanest & strongest I’ve ever been in my life

  • I’m almost NEVER hungry 

  • I enjoy all my favourite foods (in moderation)

  • I weigh 60Kg and wear a size 8, NZ (size 4-6 US)

BUT - just 4 years ago -  it was a different story!

Suddenly, my usual routine of running 3x a week and doing Yoga most days STOPPED WORKING! 

Seemingly overnight, I gained 5 kilos and I had belly fat that just wouldn’t budge!

I couldn’t explain it!

Nothing about my lifestyle had changed - so what the F was going on? 

That’s when I learned about Perimenopause and its impact on our body composition.

After spending hour consuming ‘free content’ from multiple experts I felt overwhelmed and confused - they all said something a little different or even completely contradictory in some cases!

Being a self-confessed geek and endlessly curious I went back to university to study the science for myself. 

Based on the best available evidence, I created a flexible, sustainable, effective lifestyle that charges me up with so much energy, vitality and positive mental health that I’d feel completely selfish keeping it to myself. 

Now, I incorporate all of my knowledge and experience into ONE program that offers you a simple, sustainable lifestyle approach that’ll help you:

Changing your lifestyle permanently is hard to do without evidence-based approaches to goal setting & the close support of someone who understands health behaviour change.

Not only am I a certified health and well-being coach with one of the world’s leading health coaching organisations (I mean they literally wrote the text book on coaching psychology) but I’ve also studied health psychology.

‘I know how to help you set goals you’ll follow-through on, bounce back from set-backs (because they will happen), stop the self-sabotage and develop a habit stack that gives you the body & health you ultimately want.

I’m over 2/3rds of the way through a Bachelor of Science (Psychology major, Strength & Conditioning minor) at the University of Canterbury.

Evidence matters to me which is why I go straight to the source whenever possible.

While I study the foundational scientific concepts in my degree, I also do my own independent research to understand how to translate those well-established principles to fit the needs of perimenopausal women.

AND I’ve done a whole lot of trial and error to understand how to piece everything together in a way that doesn’t take over your life!

I’m also an ex Yoga teacher. Not only did I do a 500 hour teacher training course at The Yoga Institute in Sydney, but I did specialist certifications in mobility training, and meditation.

I build solid recovery strategies into your plan to promote nervous system balance, muscle recovery, joint range of motion AND SLEEP so you can progress at a sustainable pace instead of stopping and starting due to injury or exhaustion.
