Why I dedicated my life to helping women thrive in perimenopause

My career began in the hospital wards and emergency department as a Registered Nurse, but it was my 12-year journey through the pharmaceutical industry - culminating as the Head of Marketing for Neuroscience at Novartis Australia - that taught me the most about high-pressure success and the physical toll it takes on a woman's body.
I had my daughter at 42. Returning to my high-stakes corporate role, I realized I’d lost my passion for the industry. I had a burning desire to help people thrive - physically, mentally, and emotionally - but I was too scared to step out. Eventually, wanting to role-model integrity for my daughter, I took the leap.
From corporate high flyer to Yoga teacher
I’d been an avid Yoga practitioner for over 12 years by that point - it’s what helped me stay balanced through all the international travel, high-stakes meetings and relentless performance metrics. So I started there - completed a 500 hour yoga teacher training and found my niche helping busy mums find some calm and self-care by offering classes in my local community at mum-friendly times.
I had big plans to take Yoga for Busy Mums online and help women all over the world weave some calm into their day with short, accessible practices they could do anytime, anywhere.
When the "Old Rules" Stopped Working
But at 48 perimenopause hit me hard - and the game changed.
Seemingly overnight, I gained 5 kilos that wouldn't budge. My joints were so painful that even yoga felt awful. Nothing in my lifestyle had changed, yet I felt like my body was betraying me.
I was tired of the "expert" advice that felt over-complicated and contradictory. As a self-confessed geek with a deep love of learning, I did the only thing that made sense: I went back to University.
Trading Guesswork for Certainty
Sitting in the lecture halls with 19-year-olds, I studied Psychology, Strength & Conditioning, and Sports Nutrition. I wanted to know if it was still possible to feel strong, lean, and capable at this age.
The answer is a resounding yes.
At 53, I'm the fittest, leanest, and strongest I’ve ever been. I’m almost never hungry, I enjoy my favorite foods and regular meals out with my foodie boyfriend, and - most importantly - I finally feel "at home" in my body again.
I’ve Walked the Path
I’m a certified health and wellbeing coach and an obsessive learner. I know first-hand what it’s like to navigate shifting hormones while building a business, raising a child, and coping with the heavy demands of midlife - including the loss of both my parents.
I’ve done the deep work to create the map you need: The Vital Shift Method. I’m not here to tell you you need more "willpower" or a new set of rules to white-knuckle. I’m here to walk alongside you as you reclaim your body, your confidence, and your edge.

I always thought that I knew what to do, and just needed more willpower. But since working with Sarah, I’ve had a major shift.
I’m tackling lifelong habits like never before. Every day feels like a new day stepping into my new life. I feel happier, I feel more ME - someone I felt I had lost.
I never expected any of this as I’ve done numerous programs before - but never had a coach like this.
Plus, your soft kind encouragement & belief that I can do this, makes it fun. I’m loving this and can’t thank you enough. The scales are going in the right direction and I feel unstoppable! 💃💃💃

Working with Sarah felt like a guided journey where I was always supported. It provided the accountability I needed but also the light bulb moments as to why I was not reaching my goals. She is empathetic while also challenging when needed. She has a wealth of knowledge that helped me make better decisions, improve my sleep and digestion and know what exercises work for me to achieve results.
